Last night we had a chance to say farewell to Joe and Jean. We are excited to hear how their new adventures turn out as they promised to keep in touch. It was also great to hear how people were getting on with their competition brew for next month.
I am sad to say, I forgot to specifically ask for the favorite of the night. However, if I remember the responses correctly, it was Steve T.’s Extra ESB at 6.3%. An amazing, malt forward bitter with notes of caramel.
May’s beer:
- Steve L.: Kolsch (4.9%), IPA brewed with Rakau (5%), and an English Bitter (4.7%)
- Joe and Jean: Lawnmower Pale Ale (5.2%)
- Steve T.: Maris Pilsner (6.5%) and Extra ESB (6.3%)
- Bernie: an IPA “that went wrong” (~2%)
- Penny: smoked lager (5.4%)
- Dena: winter warmer (spiced weizenbock, 6.9%)
- Mark: Even Sharks need Water (6.6%)
